Hibiscus: A natural Botox!

The secret in my garden

After I finished a Botanical Master Class, I was searching for my flower, leaf or seed.

The secret gift in my garden:

In the gentle rain of early morning, I wandered into my garden, the air cool and fragrant with the scent of wet earth. Raindrops danced on the leaves, creating a soft symphony. Amid the familiar green, I recognized my gift, my promise, a lone hibiscus, vibrant ruby red. Its petals, jeweled with rain, seemed to glow softly in the misty light. I reached out, feeling the silken touch of a petal, as if the rain and the flower shared the secret, a whispered secret between me and my Maker!

“YOU are worth more than rubies!” Proverbs 3:15

Hibiscus: A natural Botox!

Beyond its aesthetics lies an abundance of benefits. The hibiscus flower comes with loads of rich in various plant compounds, including powerful antioxidants and vitamins such as vitamin C. It also contains Myricetin, Alpha-hydroxy acids, Citric acid and Malic acid!

These compounds contribute to its antioxidant properties, which can help protect against cellar damage and support skin health by promoting collagen production, enhancing elasticity and improving hydration.

Elastin levels drop as we age, causing the skin to sag. Myricetin, naturally increases collagen synthesis while preventing collagen degradation, thereby strengthening and firming the skin. This dual action supports overall skin health by promoting elasticity and potentially reducing signs of aging, such as wrinkles and sagging skin.

The high mucilage content of Hibiscus enhances the skin’s ability to retain moisture. Keeping the skin hydrated and supple.

Hibiscus’s natural acids like Alpha-hydroxy acids AHAs help to break down dead skin cells, promoting cell turnover for a smoother complexion, without stripping natural oils. Malic and citric acid found in hibiscus are excellent antioxidants that can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They promote collagen production, which contributes to firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

With a little patience and dedication, you will start noticing significant improvements in your skin’s firmness, bounce and overall healthy appearance! Remember to complement your balanced skincare routine with a healthy diet, hydration, and sun protection for the best results. Your skin will thank you!
